Walakira Richard is a Ugandan, born in 1988 in Masaka District. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (English Language and Literature in English) from Kyambogo University, and a Certificate in Media. He has over 10 years of experience in the teaching profession and over 5 years’ experience in Mass Communication having worked with Radio Maria Uganda for 3 years as an on-air presenter for Omuyiiya w’Eklezia, Ebifa e Masaka and a promoter of the radio in the whole of Masaka Diocese.
He joined Centenary Radio from its inception in 2018 up to date as a pioneer on-air presenter of Zuukukira Mu Mukama, Omuwanika Omwesigwa, Sunday Times and a co-host of Manya Eklezia Wo,  and several outside broadcasts of Mass. He is currently the Ssabakristu of the radio station.
Severally, he has been a master of ceremonies on many occasions, ceremonies, and functions; cultural and religious, both within and outside Masaka Diocese.
He is flexible, reliable and possesses excellent interpersonal and time keeping skills, energetic, religious, enthusiastic, self-motivated, responsible, committed and hard working person. He is a mature team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations, able to work well both in a team environment as well as using his own initiative. His life time philosophy is to grab and utilize opportunities to the maximum as they come his way.


A comedian since the 1990s, broke his media “umbilical code” in 2005 with Radio Buddu and excelled in various categories as an entertainer on the air waves of Masaka region and beyond. Also works as an emcee on various ceremonies and rooted in different translations of English films and plays in local languages. i.e Luganda, Lunyoro Lutooro, Lunyakole, and Rukiga. He joined Centenary 88.1 FM Radio two years ago as a creative presenter spicing our listenernership content; this involves production of hourly skits and jokes and co-presenting of the evening drive show to keep the audience entertained, also seat-in on various talk shows both political  and various disciplines.


Iga Sylvia Cissy popularly known as Naava Kasengejje, Mukyala Golola, “Voice of the Voiceless”  is one of the most respected and loved female presenters on radio in Uganda because of her soft voice, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Information technology from Muteesa 1 Royal University and has an experience of more than 10 years in Radio. She is a hardworking person who has previously worked on mid-morning shows, mid-night shows and morning shows with Media houses like Dembe FM as a Love Show host, Red Zone, Africa Koona Show, a celebrity gossip show and a producer of Mubeezi programme. 
At Bukedde FM she presented Gear Box and Music Africa. At Ssuubi FM she hosted Love Show, Konoweka, and Kankumbire. At Buladde she hosted a love show dubbed Gundeze and Biva Muntuyo. She is currently at Centenary FM where she’s presenting a mid-morning show dubbed ‘Seyeeya’ which runs from 10:00 am – 03:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and is also a Promotions assistant. She loves Cooking, travelling and watching movies.
Naava wants to be remembered as a person who invested her life in being the ‘Voice of the Voices’ through counseling, helping underprivileged persons. She is the founder of Naava Community Support Forum, a non governmental organisation which transforms and restores the lives of the Greater Masaka region and Uganda at large from their unpleasant to new pleasant conditions. 

MAGOOLA GEOFFREY aka Ragga Mountain

Magoola Geoffrey is a renowned media broadcaster and a musician known by many as Ragga Mountain. He is a DJ, song writer, voice trainer with over 12 years media experience. He started his radio career in 2008 at Kiira FM 88.8, Jinja as the main host of the morning show Akaliba Akendo which aired every Monday to Friday. Magoola Geoffrey joined Centenary Radio as a pioneer host of the morning show, Olukedde ku Malili which is aired Monday – Friday from 06:00 am-10:00 am. Given his rich musical background he is passionate about different genres of music, this is evident in the morning show which is full of latest music mixes, current affairs, information, news, interesting stories and random banter. (This has made him grow a massive following and listener base)


DJ Brian real name Kibunga Brian is the most feared DJ, in the industry. Every time he mixes it “rains”. He is the Head of Promotions at the Station.He started working with Radio Equator FM as a Love Doctor from 2010 – 2014, then moved to KBS Radio, Kyotera from 2014 – 2015 as a presenter for a morning show Switch, then Buladde FM from 2015 – 2017 as a presenter for Evening Drive show Faasi Faasi, then Gomba FM as Programs Director from 2017 to 2018, Top Radio-Kampala from 2018 – 2019 as a presenter for a morning show Simbula and currently working with Centenary Radio 88.1 FM Masaka as a presenter, DJ, scheduler for Kulikayo the Evening Drive with Opio (Kamara Ali) from 05:00 pm to 07:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and every Saturday in Da Weekend Party from 08:00 pm to 05:00 am. Tune in and jam to the greatest mixes on the continent.


Katumba Fred also known as Urban K is born in Masaka. He is a Producer and Presenter. He is simple and he loves having fun. He is always smart and calm. He is knowledgeable about music.
He hosts a radio programme Ki Kiriwo which airs live every Monday to Friday from 03:00 pm-04:00 pm focusing on celebrity news, profiles and music releases (What’s Trending Up) which is the biggest show in town. He also hosts Sunday Live from 02:15 pm – 04:00 pm, a request show where he plays listener’s requests now and then with the most trending news in the music and entertainment industry with one of the bloggers in Uganda – Mat Tee.
He also does all production work such as station adverts, skits, station branding jingles, and programme promos.
Outside Radio he is addicted to music production and loves movies and music (kadongokamu/reggae)

Ssemuddu Charles popularly known as Uncle Chazi, and Chazi Promotions. He started working with Centenary Radio Masaka in 2019. He joined the station as a news reporter. He is currently working as a sales and marketing executive also works as presenter for Abato Mujje gyendi programme.
He holds a Certificate in Journalism & Media Studies, but currently pursuing a Diploma in Journalism from Datamine Technical Business School. He loves training children in mimes, organizes music concerts, and manages musicians and he is the Director of Angel Kids Uganda.

Matilda Nabukalu is a Journalist, she has been reporting news since 2009 up to date, and has an experience of 12 years.
She has worked for several media organisations that include Radio Buddu holding several responsibilities like gathering news from the field, training internees, hosted a heath talk show every Saturday, live broad casting shows, and treasurer for staff Sacco,  She then went to CBS as a News Reporter based in Kalungu District in 2012. In 2013 she joined Pearl Radio and Eddoboozi News Paper as a news reporter in Greater Masaka. In 2015 she re-joined Radio Buddu as a news reporter, and host for a health talk show till June 2018.
Matilda is currently working with Centenary 88.1 FM Radio Limited since June 2018, working as Deputy News Editor, until her promotion as News Editor. She holds other responsibilities at the station such as secretary for theological department (religious department), sources for information from health professionals about health tips for listenership, and reports history about the different parishes that make Masaka Diocese. She hosts Eddoboozi ly’Omukristu Ku Radio Yo every Monday starting at 10:10 am to 12:00 pm. She is currently the deputy Ssabakristu at the radio station.
She is an energetic, ambitious person who has developed a mature mind and a responsible approach to any tasks that she undertakes, and situations that she is presented with.
With her experience of twelve years in news gathering, reporting, and managing the newsroom, she attaches importance to time management and supporting the professional growth of other cadres.

Mulangira Edward Wamala is a journalist who began his career in 2004. He worked with Radio Simba from 2004 to 2012. He had the following programmes at Radio Simba namely Engule ya Simba and Obuwangwa ekkula. He was also assisting in the news room by writing the correct Luganda to the news anchors.
He also worked with Red pepper and he had four pages every week in the Kamunye newspaper where he wrote about the cultural sites every Sunday; write about market vendors sharing views rotating in the market every Thursday; wrote about Eddagala Lyaffe (our local herbs) including making research in our local herbs and teaching people how to use them & what they heal.  Finally Tambula n’omulembe where he wrote about articles depicting different cloth lifestyles that were entertained by mostly the youth.
From 2013 – 2018, he worked with Radio Buddu where he had numerous tasks such as assisting in the news room by writing the correct Luganda to the news anchors every day; airing programs like Enkuluze Y’olulimi oluganda taking about cultural events every Sunday; Akabbinkano which involved asking Luganda questions and giving offers to the winners at the end of the show; and finally Tugunjuke which was about how we as human should behave. In 2019, he worked with Buladde FM. He had one cultural program every Sunday talking about culture.
From there he joined Centenary Radio where he currently works. He has 2 programs namely:
1.    Emboozi y’obutabo which about Luganda novels mostly those at the syllabus of “O” and “A” levels every Saturday from 8:00am – 10:00am.
2.    Magezi Muliro an agriculture program where we learn rearing of animals and growing of different crops by visiting our farmers in villages as well as host technical people in agricultural activities every Tuesday and Thursday between 10:00 am to midday.


Kagiri Steven holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from Busoga University.  He also has 12 year working experience both in Radio and Print. Steve kicked off his radio career in Paliisa with Challenge Fm as a sports presenter in 2009. He then moved to Victoria FM Radio in Jinja,  and Red Pepper Publications in Kampala as well as contributing to various sporting websites namely soka25east.com in Kenya, Livescore.co.ug and Uganda Radio Network. At Red Pepper, he won two FUFA Big League reporter of the year awards in the Print category, following a comprehensive coverage of the league and honoured by the Federation of Uganda Football Association.
Steve has been lucky enough to travel to some African countries while covering great sporting events like the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in Kenya and the EASSSA games in Burundi.
In November 2018, Steven Kagiri joined South Buganda’s biggest radio 88.1 Centenary FM as a sports presenter. He hosts “Vuvuzela y’Endiba from 12:00 pm – 01:00 pm, and co-hosts “Entabwe ye Byemizanyo’’ with VB Song from 10:00 pm – 12:00 mid night every Monday – Friday. He also presents the football commentary for the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and other soccer leagues whenever they are aired.
Steve loves sports. He is working hard to becoming the best radio presenter in the country and hopefully be the next ‘Peter Drury’s of this world. He knows it will take some sacrifices because its real a tight field but is on the right path.

Vicent Bukenya commonly known as VB Song, is a sports presenter and a radio host whose career in radio began in May 2018 at Ssubi FM now Centenary FM.
He is loved by many by his deep voice and well thought analysis of the game. Popularly known to his fans as ‘Mtoto wa Tanzania’.
VB Song is undoubtedly one of the best radio commentators as he spices up his commentary with Kiswahili and jokes that crack up his listeners.
He is popularly known for his phrase ‘Taarifa’ whenever he is presenting. He has won the hearts of many football fans in Greater Masaka and some parts of Tanzania due to his passion and knowledge in the sports field
Catch VB Song every weekday morning in Bwino Wemizanyo (sports update) from 08:30 am to 08:40 am, Entabwe Y’emizanyo 10:00 pm-12:00 am and in football commentary.


Godfrey Tumwebaze, commonly known as Godfrey. T. Adams on air. He is a Ugandan and a highly experienced social scientist development worker who has demonstrated the ability to work with teams of diverse professionals to new levels of success in highly competitive and fast paced working environments.
In the media industry, he has worked with many radio stations such as Musana 100.8 FM in Luweero District for a period of four years from and four years with Buladde FM 100.7 in Masaka. In 2018, he joined Centenary 88.1 Radio FM till date. He has a diverse work record in radio spanning over a period of 12 years in the field of operations and he has worked in the media industry as radio presenter.
T. Adam’s has also had a career in NGO management including; community mobilization, capacity building for staff, facilitation skills, working with local government partners, CBOs and communities. He worked as focal person in Uganda Cares in Greater Masaka. He has also worked as Assistant Program Coordinator in Inter Religious Council under Kiwoko hospital. He has also worked with USAID -RTI International, as a Program Coordinator in Bukomansimbi district. He has worked as a Project Officer for Women Protect and Children’s Right (GBV) in Action for Development (ACFODE), Central Region in Uganda.
