55 graduate in Philosophy and Theology at St. Mbaaga’s Seminary

A total of 55 students have today graduated in Philosophy and Theology at St. Mbaaga’s National Major Seminary, Ggaba. Among the graduates, 22 priests completed their studies in Theology, while 33 seminarians and deacons completed their studies in Philosophy. The graduation ceremony, marking the end of the academic year at the Seminary, was presided over by the Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere. In his address, he reminded the seminarians and deacons awaiting ordination to extend their love to God’s people who are yearning for salvation through the risen Lord. He emphasized that priesthood demands dedication, service, and availability, which must be expressed through love for all, especially in a troubled world. He warned that when the afflicted are ignored, they may be diverted by false prophets. The Archbishop urged the graduates to remain committed to prayer, seeking God’s providence to carry out their mission faithfully. Archbishop Ssemogerere commended the graduates for their academic achievements in spite of the demanding journey toward priesthood. The function was attended by several dignitaries, including Archbishop Augustine Kasujja, the Vicar General of Kampala, Msgr. Rogers Kabuye Mukasa, and a number of priests. Meanwhile, in his remarks, Seminary Rector Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Sserunjogi announced the golden jubilee celebrations of the Seminary, scheduled for 21 February 2026.
